THE STOWELL DIFFERENCE
You can find Christmas trees, boughs and wreaths for sale in many different places: convenience stores, gas stations, garden centers, etc. Why drive all the way to Brookfield, Vermont to buy your tree? There are many good reasons!
We not only sell trees at our farm for individual customers but we also sell wholesale to retailers. We sell holiday greens packaged in 50 pound bundles to people who make wreaths, garlands, grave blankets, etc.
You can come to our farm, select a tree and be on your way in a few minutes but that is not the focus of our efforts. We strive very hard to make this a very pleasant and memorable holiday experience that includes the purchase of one or more very nice Christmas trees and related products at reasonable prices. Some of the other ingredients include a pleasant drive on picturesque country roads, a safari through our scenic Christmas tree fields in search of the "perfect" Christmas tree, warming up near the wood furnace in our Christmas barn, relaxing with food and hot drinks at the charity bake sale, browsing through the wreaths, maple products, and tree accessories, viewing the display of antique equipment and watching our live electric train display layout.
Our customers range from individuals, retailers, to large families with multiple generations. Many of our customers have been coming since we opened our Choose & Cut in the early 1970's. Each member of the group may have different high points in this adventure. There is a lot more going on here besides the purchase of a Christmas tree.
One of the things that bring our customers back year after year is our friendly and hard working staff. Most of them have been with us for years. They either hold full time jobs or are college or high school students during the week. They work with us on holidays and weekends. Most of them have worked many or all of the many phases of Christmas tree farm work such as soil preparation, planting, fertilization, shaping and harvesting. They truely look forward to helping you have a fun and successful experience choosing the perfect tree for you and your family. On the left is the 2016 staff and on the right is the 2015 staff. One member of the 2016 staff was not present for the 2015 staff photo. Five out of the six 2016 staff members have at least two years of experience and most have more.
We look forward to serving you soon.
